Brief History of the Wyoming Council of the Blind
On May 9, 1992, a group of concerned citizens from Gillette with visual disabilities organized and established the Wyoming Council of the Blind.
The organization has hosted a statewide convention annually in locations including Gillette, Torrington, Casper, Douglas and Sheridan.
The Mary Zoe Allee Memorial scholaship fund has been established to provide financial assistance to blind secondary and post-secondary students. It is awarded annually in an amount determined by the Board of Directors.
